It is funny how when you find a mother with the same beliefs as you, there is an immediate bond and friendship between you. You immediately feel safe and comfortable to share the joys of scares of motherhood!! You know that you can listen and give advise without getting into an argument.
Then you have close friends who when becoming mothers do everthing totally different than you, and for some reason those friendships fade away.
I feel very strong about my beliefs around motherhood, birth and breastfeeding, and I will stand my ground no matter what.
I prefer not to be friends with people who follow their heads instead of their hearts. I prefer to remove myself from a confersation where the topic is dissiplining a 6 month old baby, or why they prefered a ceasar.
I have friend I know very little about, but the fact that they do things with the same passion I do, I know that we get ea h other on another level. An unspoken thing that brings us together through motherhood.
Be careful who you choose as friends, especialy when you are a new mom. Friends can be very powerful, and not always in a positive way!!!!
