The other day when my sister came to visit she found me and Snoekie sick with the flu. Puffy eyes, runny noses, headaches ... we did not look very fresh
Then she asks me who got sick first, me or baby? I told her that I was sick one day more than baby so I probably got sick first. That's good! she said. I didn't quiet GET what she was saying until I remembered how amazing the human body is.
Because I got sick first my body already started fighting the flu, and even though Snoekie also got sick she doesn't have it that bad. Through my milk she is getting the anti bodies she needed to fight the flu.
It is also amazing just how soothing the boob can be. She is miserable, needy and moans until she latches, then she is fine. She sucked right trough the night, non stop. So I didn't get much sleep ... but at least I know I made her feel better
